Wild Sage Lotion - Prairie in a Bottle | Available 09/20

A truly limited-edition lotion made from wild pasture sage, hand-harvested on our Alberta farm and distilled in our copper still.

This lotion begins out in the pasture.

I gather wild pasture sage (Artemisia frigida) growing naturally on our farm, then slowly distill the fresh plant material in my traditional copper still. The resulting aromatic hydrosol—and a precious amount of its essential oil—forms the foundation of this very special lotion.

Because the sage is wildcrafted and the essential oil yield from each distillation is incredibly small, Wild Sage Lotion can only be made in very limited batches.

The sage hydrosol is paired with jojoba and avocado oils, glycerin, aloe and vitamin E to create a lightweight but nourishing lotion that leaves skin feeling soft, hydrated and beautifully conditioned. Its delicate herbal scent comes naturally from the sage itself—fresh, earthy and reminiscent of the Alberta prairie.

From pasture, to copper still, to bottle, this is one of the most distinctly prairie products I've ever made.
